got the second section done of the fic I mentioned yesterday. I'm overshooting my planned section length a bit, since I'm aiming for about 300 words each, but I have wiggle room. I'll be fine as long as I get the other four sections done today. Totally doable! I have pulled off multiple whole 1–2K exchange fics start to finish in the last day before deadline! I was just not planning to do that this time…

April 14th - 1097 words - 5 Doctor Who drabbles, a triple drabble, and some work on a couple of older unposted fics.

The drabbles were a struggle today, the prompts weren't inspiring the muses, so I think there's only 2 out of the 5 I'm really happy with. Might have to poke at the others some more. I like the triple drabble though.

Thanks! I am determined to complete all the prompts and Wednesday is my usual DW drabble day since it's a free day between prompts being posted on other communities. I like routine.

I don't know why, but yesterday my brain just didn't like the prompts *shrugs* They weren't strange words that I had to look up or anything (dw100 seems to enjoy throwing weird words like panjandrum at us), but I struggled to come up with ideas to fit. Maybe my brain got waterlogged when I washed my hair. ;)

I have had the most haphazard day unable to focus on anything for long enough to be productive at anything very useful but I did manage 184 words of noodling around with a WIP (not my original, a very old fic draft that I somehow haven't given up on yet.) So \o/ small mercies.

Days 13 and 14 have involved doing a fair amount of words on the project remaining and on starting another assignment, so good shape for wording all the way around.

I wrote 428 words of a writing exercise today and thought it was sort of silly, but I got to thinking about it this evening and ended up jotting some notes about where I could take it, and I think it's going to turn into something after all. Yay!
