I am almost ready to post where the firelight fades chapter 14. I just gotta deal with two bits that I noted in [fix this] brackets in probably October, and make sure I've got a full list of chapter-specific content notes, and do a final typo check.

April 12th - 1144 words. It's Monday, so 4 double drabbles, then I did a final edit on the one I've been working in and posted it, and finished and posted another of my older fics. Yay!

Thank you! I'm glad to be finally tidying up, expanding, and posting some of the fics that have been languishing for years because I wasn't happy with them.

Total wordcount on poly fic: 120,300

Ugh, I fell below 500 words which is my minimum goal--but hey, I've done more on many previous days. And it's nice to reach 120K!

Also I recorded some comments for my beta and sent her the previous chapter.

Totally understand being disappointed that you didn't meet your goal for the day, but it's great that you have a little bit of a cushion and that you still managed to almost hit it! Congrats on 120k. :)

Words happened on Days 10, 11, and 12, mostly the kind that are moving in the direction of actually finishing up the project that I didn't think I would see through to the end. Or at least going all the way through all of the canonical material of. Still, it's words.

My re-outline didn't end up getting started today - I wrestled with Linkedin for several hours after work (long story) and ended up just adding a bullet point to my list of "things I need to fix in this draft". But I appreciate it anyway. :)

I did some searches to try to find a home for a long merman horror story, to no avail. It was a bit depressing, honestly, but I'll keep at it. I'm proud of this story and would love to find it a place to meet the world.

I also noodled around with a fragment of another original short story that I started at the last writers club meeting a few weeks ago. I revised a bit of what I already had and added 167 words.

Sounds like good work, even if you didn't quite find a place to submit the story yet. Congrats on the 167 words on the other story!
