I always find it such a relief when I'm looking *forward*, at last, to something I've been struggling with. I hope you enjoy the rewriting!

I added 645 words to the story I started yesterday. I hadn't planned to keep at this one, but the other isn't speaking to me right now, so I'm going to let this one roll and see what happens. I'm bad at having works in progress, though, so I will eventually finish the other (I hope).

For sure! I was a little frustrated while I was re-outlining but I think it paid off.

April 24th - 1182 words, a challenge ficlet I'm not particularly pleased with, and a quadruple drabble.

Also, I had a couple of hours out in the garden, which involved yet more digging with my big fork. I'm getting closer to being able to plant my pansies ans sow seeds!

Even if you're not quite happy with your work, good for you that you got it done! Not everything you write is going to be exactly what you want it to be but it's still worthwhile, I think.

I've written enough to know the occasional unsatisfactory fic isn't the end of the world. The next one will probably be better.

Having problems of logistics/timing around the end of the Seven Years' War in 1762/63. Probably no one will notice or mind if I shift the siege of Havana a few months, ha ha.

500 words, nice! And to be honest, I feel like if you just mention in an author's note "hey I know the siege of Havana was a different month but just go with me here", even the biggest sticklers for historical accuracy probably wouldn't mind.

Days 23 and 24 were concerned with adding wires to my outstanding assignment, although I don't think it has an actual plot as such as much as it is an excuse for characters to have what I hope are witty conversations under a frame story of traveling for their honeymoon. That's totally something we can post as fic, though, right, since that seems to be the shape of things?

Yay, good for you for getting stuff done both days. That's definitely something that you can post as fic ... in fact, to some people I'm sure that's much more appealing than plot.
